You don’t often see Black men leading wellness and lifestyle experiences in Portugal — but my path into this work didn’t start with wellness. It started with people.
Long before Soul e Sabor existed, I was the person who naturally hosted, organized, planned, and created moments. I’ve always had a gift for bringing people together — whether it was events, gatherings, celebrations, or experiences that needed intention and flow. Event planning wasn’t a job title for me; it was something I did because I understood energy, detail, and how to make people feel comfortable.
Then came aviation.
Eight years as cabin crew shaped me in ways I didn’t expect. Caring for people in the air teaches you presence, intuition, calm, and emotional intelligence. You learn to read people without words. You learn how to create ease in a space that isn’t home. You learn how to hold space for strangers. That became part of my DNA.
And throughout my life, I’ve naturally gravitated toward premium environments — not because I worked in them, but because that’s the standard I carry. I’ve always given people a premium experience without needing to call it luxury. It’s simply how I show up.
In 2025, everything shifted.
Life pushed me toward choosing myself, choosing purpose, choosing a slower rhythm. Portugal gave me space to breathe, to reset, and to build something aligned with who I am becoming.
That’s how Soul e Sabor was born — not as a retreat business, but as a lifestyle and wellness brand rooted in intention, culture, nature, and presence. A brand built from my own life changes, my own healing, and my decision to live with purpose.
Today, I host more than retreats.
I create wellness and lifestyle experiences across Portugal — curated day immersions, sensory cultural moments, slow-living experiences, and now retreats that bring everything together. Every experience is designed with care, rhythm, and a quiet premium feel that doesn’t need to be announced.
Most of the wellness space is led by women, and I honor that.
But I also know there is space for Black men to lead, to host, to create softness, rest, and intentional living. I’m not trying to fit into the wellness industry — I’m expanding what it can look like.
I’m a Black male founder with years of experience in hosting, event planning, and caring for people in motion.
I’ve turned that into Soul e Sabor — a brand built from intention, purpose, and choosing myself.
This is my work.
This is my calling.
And this is the life I’m building with intention.
