A FREE FAMILY ARTS FESTIVAL!
August 14th 2025 10AM

“Ready, Set, PLAY!” is a new initiative to encourage everyone to find an art form they enjoy and make practising it a regular habit! Medical research strongly supports the idea that engaging with the arts can be a healthy habit, contributing to both physical and mental well-being. Studies show that participation in artistic activities can reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood, and even help manage chronic conditions. Furthermore, the arts can foster social connection, enhance cognitive function, and promote resilience. This initiative intends to showcase all the ways available in Stratford for people to enjoy participating in the arts as part of a healthy lifestyle. Try some and see what you like!

Free music lessons, dancing, fencing, voice and MORE! Not only that but special youth PERFORMANCES all evening long!

Theatre Workshop
A theatre workshop for all ages inspired by Stratford’s own Lois Burdett—the beloved teacher who brought Shakespeare to life for generations of local students.�
Join us for a joyful, family-friendly theatre experience led by none other than Diana Leblanc—legendary Canadian actor, director, and Governor General’s Performing Arts Award winner.

Musical Theatre Workshop
Calling all musical theatre lovers! Join us at the Stratford Perth Museum for a joyful, all-ages theatre workshop featuring Christopher Norton’s Micromusical adaptation of Animal Farm—with lyrics and scenes by Wendy Edwards Beardall-Norton.
Led by internationally acclaimed composer Christopher Norton, and featuring award-winning Canadian theatre legend Diana Leblanc as drama coach, this workshop is perfect for anyone ready to sing, move, and have fun—whether you're 7 or 70. 🎶 No auditions. No experience needed. Just great music, a warm welcome, and a chance to perform at our public Open House event!
