As Blueberry moves forward, the festival is shifting from its traditional large-scale format to a more intimate and community-oriented experience. After nine incredible years of working together, organizers have determined that continuing with the big festival model is no longer practical due to increased competition during the August long weekend, unpredictable weather, and rising costs. The Blueberry board remains in place with an eye on the future and for ways to bring the community together in new and exciting ways.
The Blueberry Music Festival will not take place at the Heritage Park in Stony Plain on the August long weekend in 2026. No plans have been made to present a similar event at this time.
Blueberry is evolving, changing our tune, and opening new possibilities! Future events will focus on sharing great times, fostering connections, and celebrating the community spirit that makes Blueberry special.
Blueberry festival organizers would like to extend their sincere thanks to everyone who helped make Blueberry an unforgettable experience. The current board is deeply appreciative of the enthusiasm and encouragement shown by guests, volunteers, and artists. Your participation brought Blueberry to life, and organizers hope that every moment was enjoyable for all involved.
