Big things happening in Steinbach! 🔥

Fire Chiefs from across Manitoba came together June 11–13 for the 76th Annual MAFC Conference—sharing ideas, stories, and building stronger connections.

The Southeast Event Centre was thrilled to host such an impactful event—and even more thankful to receive this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review from Steinbach Fire Chief Kel Toews following the conference:

"We hosted the Manitoba Association of Fire Chiefs at the Southeast Event Centre and can't say enough about the facility and the staff. The food was amazing and the staff took care of everything we requested, allowing us to enjoy the event worry free. The facility rivals anything in the province and I would recommend booking your next conference, trade show, or corporate event here."

On Sunday, June 21 at 10 AM, the doors opened—and over 2,900 people filled the Southeast Event Centre for the largest Worship in the City ever 🙌

What an incredible milestone for this annual Summer in the City tradition. Churches from across the region came together as one, united in worship—something truly special to witness.

For the first time, the service moved indoors to the Main Arena Bowl, offering a comfortable, climate‑controlled space for nearly 3,000 attendees—rain, heat, blazing sun, or wind… not a factor this year!

From powerful live worship, a moving message from guest speaker Mike Thom (CHVN), heartfelt testimonies, and the debut of a community mass choir, this year’s gathering was unforgettable.

We were honoured to host an event that reflects exactly what the Southeast Event Centre was built for—bringing people together. Built BY the community, FOR the community. 💛

What a special experience—and what an essential part of summer in Steinbach this has become.

You trusted this would become a place where people come together… and thanks to you, that’s exactly what the Pistons, Grand Slam of Curling and some amazing concerts have already done.

So exciting to be able to share that our “45” tonight is sold out!!

AND a new cocktail event called the 22 1/2! July 9th is our first one. It’s like the little sister to the “45”.

We can hardly wait to witness the City coming together for Worship in the City inside the Southeast Event Centre. We want to make it very clear that nothing has changed but location. It is FREE as it has always been and now no matter the weather, you will be able to worship in comfort indoors… and it will be in the Main Arena Bowl!!

Yes, we are still kindly asking that you not bring any outdoor food or beverage into the facility as we have teamed up with Stone City Coffee and will have our very own Southeast Blend drip coffee available for you to buy right here.

Coffee and a muffin/pastry of your choice is just $8 with $2 going right back to support Worship in the City.
Or just grab a coffee for $3 plus tax.
