Join us for a special evening as we welcome a few incredible guests into the Temple for a potent and medicinal journey through rhythm, movement, live music, and sound.

SOULar Sound will guide us through an extended dance journey woven together with live violin from Michael Fraser and percussion & vocals from Anki Coyolotl. We’ll move from the rhythm of the dance floor into stillness, closing the musical journey with a Shamanic Sound Journey led by Gin Perry.

Come as you are. Move, listen, connect, and allow the rhythms of the evening to take you where you need to go.

As summer winds down and we find ourselves with more space in the evenings, choosing to show up fully to these conscious dance practices can be integrative, healing, potent, transformative, restorative, activating, and more.

We love this practice and are looking forward to seeing some of you beautiful dancers back in the temple!

This week we are welcoming Rory Hayz Rory Beaupre behind the decks. Opening and closing facilitation by the wonderful Elise Elise Johnston

Rory is a Squamish-based DJ with a love for deep bass, worldly sounds, and drum-driven rhythms. His sets blend global influences with bass-heavy electronic music, creating space to move, let go, and drop fully into the present moment. For Rory, dance is less about performance and more about connection, freedom, and getting out of your head and into your body.

Renée is a Squamish based DJ that delivers passengers safely into the darkness. Heavily inspired by the sounds of indie dance and its fusion with melodic house and downtempo she’s ready to take you on a journey through bounce and melody… always with a touch of the dark.

Excited to co-create a container of movement, expression, and flow with everyone.

We have Samuel Samways running a contact improvisation workshop from 6-7pm, then we’ll flow into our dance practice from there.

Brazilian performing artist with 17 years of experience in partner dancing. His research extends to acrobatic movements, floorwork, capoeira, contemporary dance, contact improvisation and the fusion of Latin American social dances, with an emphasis in Brazilian Zouk, Tango, Forró and Samba de Gafieira.
He is the creator of Mutual Leading, an improvisational technique that challenges the hierarchical structures traditionally associated with gender roles in social dance.
Samuel is the director of Terceira Margem, an art collective interested in the intersection between dance, theater and circus. He is also the creator of the dance festival MONSTRA – Festival de Dança de Salão Contemporânea.

We have special guests from Guatemala coming this week including a very dear friend Lysh who has DJ’d for us a lot in the past. Super excited to have her back in the space and bringing new friends to help curate the evening!

“Echoes on the Bridge” is a musical group curating movement and dance experiences through music. They’re offering a facilitated dance experience with specially curated, pre-recorded DJ set.

Blending the styles of Ecstatic Dance, 5Rhythms, and Biodanza, each set is a thoughtfully crafted journey; curated by dancers, for dancers.

Summer is a busy time! Our presence is so valuable. Thank you in advance for coming with your presence, attention, and intentionality. Whether we’re a small or big crew, each week is so special. The tenderness and compassion from all the dancers is so inspiring to me. We’ll have our full off-grid professional sound rig again this week to bring the medicine deep into our bones!

This week we’ve got me (Bretton) back on the decks! This summer has been full of different gigs for me and I’ve been busy in curating a variety of dance experiences which has allowed for so much growth. Thank you so much to everyone who’s been with me on the journey!!
