Kwik-Way!! Stacie and team at Kwik-way have taken South River disc golf to the next level. They took a leap last year and became a disc golf vendor. Little did they know they would sell out and reorder discs faster than most new retailers. Grow their retail section from a few discs to full selection of disc golf supplies. Fall in love with the sport and help Lorrie start the successful woman's league. Fund the materials and initiate the short tee pad movement. Stacie has done great things in the short year since the last event. The town is getting excited! We have a lot buzz around the event and there will probably be a lot of spectators this year. Tourney staff will be doing our best to coordinate the spectators but we ask that your patient if they are in the way. It’s a learning curve for the residents. Let’s show them the beauty of the sport!

Rocket Plumbing! Many will know Rocket Plumbing as Justin Murphy! Moving up to Muskoka a few years back he has uplifted the disc golf community all while reestablishing his plumbing business in Muskoka. Rocket Plumbing supports many of the northern disc golf initiatives from Bracebridge to South River.
Justin helps for all the right reasons and is a quality professional plumber. Certainly reach out to him for plumbing needs but he is a busy man :) As well he just took on a venture with his wife Jessica starting a hot yoga studio called "Salt" in the heart Huntsville. Already a popular spot but supporting that will support him as well!

Justin will be playing this weekend make sure to give him a high five for all he does for disc golf.

Tournament Staff

Tourneys are only as good as the hard working people behind them. We have a great team for this event.

Lorrie Slade Asst. Director - I can't say enough about Lorrie and all she has done to connect the community to disc golf. Lorrie didn't throw till last year but in her short time she has set the town a fire with the disc golf buzz going to all the businesses and sharing her positivity. She is the back bone to the tourney keeping everyone on task. She started a local ladies league, junior events, community outreach. She's united the town and the effects have been mind blowing. Thank you Lorrie for all you do!

Jody Slade Asst. Director - The man the legend. Jody is the patriarch of South River disc golf now. This guy inspires the heck out of me. Straight shooting, hard working, kind man. Jody coordinated, installed and secured funding for long pads last year. He is at it again out there right now installing short pads for all the players! Jody dreams and makes it a reality. Let's see what he dreams next! Thanks Jody !

Chris Shier Stat & Tech - Chris ran this event for 9 years. Without him we wouldn't have this event. Chris has put his knack for knowledge to work and has made stat sheets for all the past events and top earners and all the good stats. You'll find his handy work posted around the course for you to admire and revel. He is always quick to help and answer questions.

Jon Brommet Tech Whiz - I couldn't do this without Jon. Simple. The services he provides the tourney are exceptional and outside my skills. Often overlooked he makes the sponsor packages, posters, logos, trophies, signs, and fixes my problems. He is the best man behind the desk I could ask for. He makes me feel super like we can conquer the problems. Big up for Jon Brommet!

Michelle Okimi Mother Hen - Michelle is the woman behind the desk and is a very creative and great at problem solving. When paired with Lorrie those two are unstoppable. Seriously. Thank You Michelle!!

This year's basket challenge aimed at engaging the locals in a contest where they can make putts on baskets at local businesses and fill out there stamp card. Filled cards get entered for a grand prize of a Lat 64 bag and 3 beginner discs. This challenge grows awareness locally and gives both business and patrons something fun to talk about.

This event is sponsored by Cedar Trail Farm! Both Carl and Karyn are wonderful people with a compassion for others. They are a reoccurring sponsor and we greatly appreciate their commitment to helping disc golf and the community.

Annmarie makes the best bug jackets around using premium fabric and the customer in mind. She is the supplier for bigger provincial bodies like Hydro One.
