PARADE CHALLENGE ACCEPTED?

The South River-Machar Agricultural Society is throwing down the gauntlet to local businesses, organizations, clubs, farms, and community groups!

This year's Fall Fair Parade theme is:

~ "From Pioneer Days to Modern Ways" ~

How creative can you be? Will your float showcase the hardworking pioneers who built our communities? Or will you highlight the amazing innovations and technology of today? Maybe you'll combine both and tell the story of how far we've come!

๐Ÿ† Who will earn bragging rights for the BEST FLOAT?
๐Ÿ† Who will wow the crowd?
๐Ÿ† Who will bring the most community spirit?

Gather your team, dust off those creative ideas, and start planning your entry now! Let's fill the streets with tractors, wagons, decorations, laughter, and community pride.

Whether you're a business, service club, farm, sports team, or community organization, we'd love to see you join the parade and help make this year's Fall Fair one to remember!

Nothing says community like neighbors coming together to celebrate our past, present, and future.

Tag a business or organization that should take on the challenge! ๐Ÿ‘‡

Sponsorship Saturday

Each Saturday, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank the amazing sponsors and supporters who help make the SRMAS and our Fall Fair possible โ€” one Saturday at a time!

This week, we would like to recognize and thank the wonderful Town of South River for all they do for our organization and community.

Our village continually supports us in so many ways โ€” from helping fund the bouncy castles at our Fall Fair, assisting with lottery questions and licensing, helping advertise through signs and Ripples, and always being a great source of knowledge and guidance when we need it.

We truly appreciate the ongoing support, encouragement, and partnership from our community. Thank you, South River, for helping keep our fair and traditions growing strong!

Throwback Thursday with SRMAS

Every Thursday, weโ€™re going to share little pieces of the history of SRMAS and our Fall Fair! From old photographs and fair memories to family stories and treasured moments, we want to celebrate the people and traditions that helped shape our community over the years.

If you or your family have any historical photos, stories, ribbons, newspaper clippings, or memories from past fairs, we would love for you to share them with us so we can feature them in our history days posts!

Todayโ€™s piece of history is a photograph of Henry Erven showing at the Fall Fair in 1922.
- Photographer unknown.

Itโ€™s amazing to look back and see the long-standing traditions of agriculture, community, and pride that continue today.
