Maybe you already play music but have never explored bluegrass. Maybe you secretly want to learn to jam with others. Or maybe youโre just curious what all the banjo, fiddle, harmony-singing fuss is about.
Bluegrass 101 is designed for anyone wanting to build confidence, expand their jamming skills, and explore the foundations and history of bluegrass music in a welcoming, supportive environmentโregardless of musical background or experience level. This class is open to all instruments & singers.
Together, youโll work on the building blocks of bluegrass: backup, lead playing, vocals, harmony singing, timing, feel, and how all the pieces fit together to create that unmistakable bluegrass sound. Through practice, repetition, and lots of encouragement, youโll gain the confidence to sing, play, and join in at jams and music gatherings of all kinds.
