At the heart of Fort Knox Five is Producer, Remixer, DJ, and Fort Knox Recordings founder Steve Raskin, a lifelong funk fanatic with one mission: turn every dance floor into an unforgettable party. Drawing from decades of digging, producing, and touring, Steve blends funk, hip-hop, breaks, house, bass, disco, and unexpected classics into explosive, high-energy sets that are as unpredictable as they are irresistible.

A Fort Knox Five set is all killer no filler, packed with exclusive edits, original productions, cheeky bootlegs, singalong moments, and enough groove to keep hands in the air and feet moving all night long. Michael Red is a Vancouver-based music producer, film composer, live performer and event organizer, known for helping shape underground electronic music culture in Western Canada (both as an event curator and DJ). Some of his other projects include Low Indigo (events, label, community), Oro Azul (with Ultima Esuna), LA FE (with NAP), Light Blues (sound wellness project), Souns (ambient alias), and an extensive list of other projects and collaborations. This year at Shambhala, Michael will be returning to one of the roles he is best known for -> delivering a sunrise set on the final morning of the festival.

Sijay James has been DJ’ing since 1996 when he caught the vinyl bug in the earlier days of the Vancouver electronic dance music scene. He has performed at venues around the world and has been a strong part of the west coast festival community for nearly 3 decades. A resident of Nelson BC since 2008, Sijay has also been a creative force in the graphic design and art direction of numerous festivals, including a tenure as art director for Shambhala, playing a large role in the development of electronic dance music culture behind the scenes.

he has been masterful at setting the tone over the years with his early day dj sets at the beach. His opening set this Sunday will be the perfect offering for all to reset by the river. Who‘s in for this special offering?👇🏽

Known for his dance floor igniting DJ sets and music productions infusing Breaks, Hip Hop, House, Funk and Disco with a heavy helping of Bass; Qdup has established himself as a multi-genre artist, tastemaker and innovator. His unique sound has earned him a dedicated following and recognition from industry heavyweights. Whether in the studio or behind the decks, Qdup consistently pushes the boundaries of dance music, captivating audiences around the globe.

Qdup is no stranger to The Living Room Stage. He’s played sets in various formats and along with collaborators as well as solo over the years. In 2016 Qdup played along side Fort Knox Five performing their 4 Deck set which remains one of their most listened mixes of all time. He’s also played multiple memorable sets DJing with EVeryman for his live Hip Hop performances and had a surprise 45 Vinyl set last year kicking off the Living Rooms Saturday Vinyl extravaganza.

DJ DAN (RIP)

A true innovator, tastemaker, and dance music legend, DJ Dan’s unmistakable sound blended the spirit of disco and funk with driving house and techno. Across more than 3 decades, he inspired generations of DJs, producers, and dance floors around the world with his infectious energy, generosity, and unwavering love for the music.

Dan was beyond thrilled to finally be part of the Living Room lineup. Knowing how much he was looking forward to sharing this moment with our community makes his passing this spring all the more heartbreaking.

In honour of his legacy, we invite his friends, collaborators, and rave family to join us next Friday at midnight as we gather to Dance for Dan. At the exact time he was meant to take the stage, we will play a mix we selected from an archive we had the blessing to receive in contribution to this tribute, celebrating his spirit, and joy in spreading love through music.

Let’s come together in true Living Room fashion—to dance, remember, celebrate, and give this gem of a soul the loving sendoff he deserves.

Long-time DJ, and musicophile, Roxanne Roll has been injecting ideas into Club Land since she started DJing in London in the mid-2000s. Busy playing all over the world as the founder and chief remixer for the decade running Fleetmac Wood project, when at home in LA, she works on her cosmic Kaftan Discotheque mix series and DJing eclectic disco in places like Kit Kat Club Berlin (Disco Bizarre), The Rabbit Hole Glastonbury and the psychedelic desert joints of Joshua Tree. Her recent remixes for new artist Katy J Pearson and vintage Eurythmics have been played on LA’s eminent KCRW with recent disco sets at The Secret Garden Party, Burning Man and Pike’s Ibiza.

Thomas Workshop
Immersed in jazz and folk since toddler times and fuelled by his passion for music, Soren has been DJ-ing under the alias ‘Thomas Workshop’ while in cohesion touring as a founding member, vocalist, writer and producer of Lazy Syrup Orchestra.

Additionally he co-produces events with Soul Hop Productions. Hosting artists in VanCity and co-creating dance opportunities. With LSO, Soren is performing on an array of festival stages as the group continues to evolve and develop new music. He’s happiest when surrounded by aquatic house music, basketball and plant based hygiene products.
