NewBEMF: New Brunswick Early Music Festival Co-Directors: Daniel Carberg and Matthew Leese NewBEMF is a unique educational and community music festival, held annually in the stunning seaside resort of St.

Andrews, NB, just 60 minutes over the US border from coastal Maine. NewBEMF, hosted by the St. Andrews Arts Council is also unique in its focus on combining college-level academic classes for credit through Millikin University (Decatur, IL) with pre-professional performing opportunities and significant community involvement. NewBEMF 2013 auditions are Friday, February 1st at Millikin University. If you are not on campus please send a video link, either through youtube, a personal website, etc. The opera this year is The Tempest by Shakespeare and Purcell, however you do NOT need to record an excerpt from the show. Just prepare one piece of your choosing, preferably pre-Mozart. We hope you consider joining us this June 2-22!!! It is going to be a fantastic summer!
