After six seasons under the operation of the Gulf of Georgia Cannery Society, the winter Cannery Farmers' Market will not continue after the 2019-2020 season to allow the society to focus its limited resources on more mission-based programming. The non-profit Gulf of Georgia Cannery Society has managed Steveston’s Cannery Farmers’ Market since taking over its operation from the Steveston Farmers a

nd Artisans Market Society in 2014. After six seasons, we have decided to make this 2019-2020 season the final one under our operation, to allow us to focus our limited resources on more mission-based programming. The society is extremely grateful to all the vendors, exhibitors, volunteers, sponsors, staff and visitors who have supported this market for the past 6 seasons.

Our Story

The non-profit Gulf of Georgia Cannery Society has managed Steveston’s Cannery Farmers’ Market since taking over its operation from the Steveston Farmers and Artisans Market Society in 2014.

After six seasons, we have decided to make the 2019-2020 winter season the final one under our operation, to allow us to focus our limited resources on more mission-based programming.

We look forward to renewing and improving existing mission-based public events for Halloween and Christmas, and to collaborate with the community to develop new and exciting winter programming and events.

The society is extremely grateful to all the vendors, exhibitors, volunteers, sponsors, staff and visitors who have supported this market for the past 6 seasons.
