We’re pleased to welcome Mika Abbott as the 2026 Festival Curator & Coordinator.

Based in Regina on Treaty 4 Territory, Mika is an emerging lens-based artist and arts worker whose practice explores identity, place, and the nuanced relationships between intimate spaces and cultural values. She holds a BFA from the University of Regina (2020), where she specialized in photography.

Working primarily with film, Mika approaches image-making as a slow and intentional process. The act of documentation becomes a ritualistic engagement with real and imagined memories, histories, and meaning embedded within the spaces she photographs—an inquiry that Mika is looking forward to extending into her curatorial approach.

We’re thrilled to have Mika shaping this year’s festival. You can read more about the curatorial theme on our website! 💫

Call For Artists!✨

For the 2026 Nuit Blanche Regina festival, we invite artists to step into The Great Unknown, a thematic exploration of what lies beyond our understanding or control. Through visual and conceptual storytelling, we encourage artists to blur the lines between imagination and reality, offering interpretations of that which is unknown.

Whether exploring the realm of impossibility, imagining alternative futures or shifting landscapes, investigating the mysteries of the universe, or the inner self, The Great Unknown offers space for experimentation, curiosity, and intervention in an era defined by uncertainty...

For more information about our curatorial theme and submission process, please visit us at: https://nuitblancheregina.ca/the-great-unknown/

Deadline: Friday, May 1, 2026. 💫💛

Last night, Regina Downtown became one interpretation of “home”! We hope you were able to think of different ways that “home” can manifest itself in our lives.

Thank you for making the 2025 Nuit Blanche Regina a night to remember! ✨️
