These past 11 years have been quite a ride in Uplands.
We’ve cherished every scare, every laugh, and every moment that’s passed through our yard. What began as a 10-year-old boy’s vision grew into something bigger than we ever imagined, and we couldn’t be more proud.
Thank you to everyone who has walked (or run!) through our garage and yard over the years. It’s because of your screams, your smiles, and your support that we kept finding new ways to scare you every year.
A few years ago, we were lucky to have convinced our incredible neighbours, Jill and Rob Perron, and their family to join us in making the Scarehouse bigger and better as we expanded into their yard. They have been a huge part of the success of the haunt and we couldn’t be more thankful for there contributions over the years. Also, a huge shout-out to our amazing actors, family and friends who volunteered countless hours (and voices!) over three long days to bring the haunt to life, and then helped us dismantle it all within 48 hours so we could move out of our home. And a special thank-you to Loraas Disposal for donating fencing - it saved us so much time and effort!
To our neighbours on Fairview: thank you for putting up with the noise, lights, and chaos. Your patience and support made it possible for us to create something truly special.
We’re thrilled to share that, with the match from MKS Financial Services, we’re donating $20,000 to Bright Eyes Dog Rescue this year… bringing our total to nearly $50,000 raised in just four years. Every scare helped save one more puppy, and for that, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
We’ll be taking a year off as we settle into our new home and decide whether the Scarehouse will return in 2027.
With that being said, we’d love your feedback… if we were to bring the Scarehouse back in a few years, would you make the trip to visit us at our new location just outside of Regina?
Again, Happy Halloween, and thank you for 11 unforgettable years of fright and fun!
