Steps for Life - Red Deer Annual Steps for Life Red Deer Events - Saturday May 2, 2026 The walk is held around Safety and Health Week which is the first week of May.

To help families who've lost a loved one to a workplace injury or illness, or had a family member suffer from a serious workplace injury or disease, spread the message that all workplace injuries and illnesses are preventable. Steps for Life is an annual walk held in communities in Canada to support the work of Threads of Life and to spread the message that all workplace injuries and illnesses are

preventable. In Red Deer, our 5 km family friendly walk is held the first or second Saturday in May at Bower Ponds Stage from 11 am to 1:30 pm - rain or shine. Registration opens at 9:30 am. We have lots of activities to keep children and adults entertained before the walk begins including live music, face painting, colouring contest, mascots and a bake sale. We end our walk with a BBQ for participants. We are always looking for sponsors, corporate challenge teams, walkers and donations for our online auction.
