In 1959, the Canadian Legion of the British Empire Service League dropped “British Empire” from its name, becoming The Canadian Legion.

On December 19, 1960, Queen Elizabeth II granted royal patronage in recognition of the Legion’s outstanding service to Veterans and communities, authorizing the use of the prefix “Royal” and the Royal Crown in its insignia. In 1961, the organization officially became The Royal Canadian Legion.

Thank you to all who played in our Spring League Shuffleboard. Our League has decided to rename the Spring League to the Terry Saher Memorial Spring League in honour of our dear friend who passed away last year, there will be a trophy or plaque at a later date.

This year we had a 4-way tie for 1st Place, each team won $100.00! Congratulations also to our 'Most Honest' team, they each won $10.00!

Thank you so much to Gray's Funeral Chapel, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens, and River Park Funeral Home for sponsoring and donating the beautiful carnations, thank you to MNP (Prince Albert) for sponsoring the Mimosas, and to Prairie Meats for donating bacon and sausage!
