Reach the Beach

Hey Everyone, it is with regret that we announce Reach the Beach will not be taking place in Port Stanley in the summer of 2022. This is mainly due to not being able to find a suitable route in Port Stanley. We had proposed the route we have be using for the past 10+ years, but due to the new development and traffic on George Street, authorities felt it would not work. We had proposed another route in Port Stanley, but that was not workable for the community as well.

As it stands, there will be no race this year. Thanks to the runners and volunteers for your support. If we can find a way to have another race in Port Stanley or somewhere else in the future, we will do it and update you on this page.

Save the Date ** August 12, 2022 **

We put in our application in this week for Reach the Beach 2022 in beautiful Port Stanley. We are excited to have the biggest and best Reach the Beach yet. Stay tuned for more details.

Hello Everyone, sorry we have not communicated on Facebook for quite some time. Needless to say, we are not holding Reach the Beach in 2021.

Holding an event like RTB takes a lot of time and planning and this year there was no certainty that we would be able to have the event with Covid. We are looking to August 2022 for RTB to return. Thanks for your patience.

This probably isn’t a surprise to anyone but with regret we are cancelling the 2020 Reach the Beach race. Organizing a race takes a lot of planning & logistics & there is no way for us to put together a race for August. Thanks for your support & we look forward to a great race in 2021!

Hello Everyone, it's Rob the Race Director of RTB here.
Sorry it has been a long time since we have posted anything. We were planning on having a 2020 race in Port Stanley, but with COVID19 we are unsure we will be able to hold the race.

Having said that, If we are able to have the race, we will have it. We just do not want to launch registration with the current uncertainty. We will keep you updated here on Facebook.

Thanks to everyone who came out to Reach the Beach tonight! Congrats to all the runners and walkers! And the kids did amazing too! Thanks also to our volunteers, sponsors, the police, paramedics and everyone who made this event a success!
