Throughout the year, our space comes alive through a curated calendar of public events, creative workshops, and intimate private gatherings. Bistro Le Chat Bleu opened late June of 2015 and the response was immediate and very positive. Our heritage building was once a village General Store and dates back to the mid 1800's. Honouring the classic “bistro” tradition, we have devoted ourselves to offering clean, big flavour food in a cozy setting, using ingredients that where possible are sourced locally. We love growing our own food, and buying from local farmers and friends.

Community Forest International will be joining us here at Le Chat Bleu on Sunday, November 15th from 11am to 2pm instead of the anticipated Saturday evening event. Our goal is to introduce the organization to folks who may not know the great work being done. They will be upstairs in our studio talking about their projects and goals and answering your questions. In keeping with the theme and in addition to our regular brunch menu, we will feature a Swahili inspired dish. This Sunday, we’re featuring David’s organic sourdough bread by making our version of your classic BLT sandwich served with Chipotle Sweet Potato soup.
David is originally from Venezuela and has been perfecting his craft here in our neighbourhood with much enthusiasm and love.
We will have a few loaves for sale to take home.
