We ❤️ our Folk Fest pups! Which is why you’ll catch us at the 2026 Doggie Dash on June 14th at Isabel Morris Park in Lakefield!

This family-friendly fundraiser combines a community dog walk with a lively afternoon in support of the animals at LAWS. Participants can choose between a 1.5 or 2.5 km walk through the village of Lakefield alongside walk leaders Betty Baker and Washboard Hank. Afterwards enjoy live music from , food vendors, games, local artisans, and small businesses.

Everyone is welcome, whether you BYOD (bring your own dog) or just join in with your walking shoes. We’ll have a table at the event so come say hi!👋

We are excited to share that TD Bank Group is supporting this year’s festival by sponsoring a brand new fourth stage: ✨The TD Stage✨

Yep, you heard that right! Located directly across from the Generation Solar Stage, this new addition will allow for a seamless flow of music, with performances and workshops alternating back and forth between the two stages.

The introduction of this new stage expands opportunities to showcase local artists, emerging voices, and Indigenous performers, while also creating room for workshops and interactive programming.

This milestone reflects the continued growth of the festival and the strength of its community partnerships. For the first time, Peterborough Folk Festival will feature multiple sponsored stages: the Miskin Law Main Stage, Rotary Stage, TD Stage and Generation Solar Stage.

Huge thanks to for helping the festival to evolve while remaining an inclusive and vibrant celebration of music, culture, and community.

A globally successful touring artist, Bahamas’ appeal transcends age and genres. Everyone from Taylor Swift to BTS, Vulfpek to DRAM, Jack Johnson, Robbie Robertson, Wilco, to kd lang and more, are fans and have all expressed so publicly. He averages over 3 million regular monthly listeners on Spotify with more than ¾ billion streams to date. ‘Lost In the Light’ from his certified gold selling album ‘Barchords’ has surpassed 150 million streams, while ‘All the Time’ recently passed 100 million and platinum certification. His 2015 album ‘Bahamas Is Afie’ and 2018 album ‘Earthtones’ both won Adult Alternative Album of the Year at the Juno Awards. Jurvanen was also named Songwriter of the Year in 2015. In 2026, Bahamas won Adult Alternative Album of the Year at the Juno awards for ‘My Second Last Album’ shared with Begonia.

We are thrilled to announce will be performing on the Miskin Law main stage this August!

Winnipeg-based artist Begonia, the stage name of Alexa Dirks, has been captivating audiences since launching her solo career in 2017 with the EP ‘Lady in Mind’, which featured the #1 CBC Radio single ‘Juniper.’ Her full-length albums ‘Fear’ (2019) and ‘Powder Blue’ (2023) earned her two Juno Award nominations and two Polaris Music Prize nominations. Begonia followed up with the EP ‘Open Swim’ (2024) which received remarkable response across streaming platforms and radio. Recognized by NPR as an “Artist You Need to Know,” Begonia is celebrated by her core fans for her powerful live performances, which Noisey describes as “obliterating the misery from this world one live performance at a time.” Her newest full-length release ‘Fantasy Life’ won the 2026 Juno Award for Adult Alternative Album of the Year, shared with Bahamas.

Joining the line up is this year’s Emerging Artist Award recipient, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist !

Performance sits at the centre of Tristan Konkle’s musical identity, though it has never told the whole story. Raised in Peterborough, the self-produced artist was drawn early to the architects of late-20th-century pop, pairing energetic performances with a deep commitment to songwriting craft. Now releasing music under his own name for the first time since fronting the band Tapes In Motion, Konkle blends modern indie pop with vintage influences, guided by thoughtful production and the support of his hometown community.

We are thrilled to announce will be performing at this year’s fest!

Slow Leaves is the project of Winnipeg, Canada’s Grant Davidson. Known for lyrics that are wistful and honest, his psych-folk songs play like melodies from forgotten dreams. His music, thoughtful and poetic, elevates the ordinary into poignant narratives. On his newest album, The Ruins of Things Unfinished, Davidson takes a deeply personal look across the divide between where one is and where one thought they’d be and examines his role as father and husband and the threads that bind one generation’s traumas to the next. He describes writing it as “a process of letting go of something familiar in order for something else, something new to emerge.”
