Parksville Beach Festival returns July 10 – August 16, 2026! 🏖️

Enjoy world-class sand sculptures, live music, and so much more—all set against the stunning backdrop of Parksville’s sandy shores. 🌊🎶 Known to locals as Beachfest, this 5 ½ week long family-oriented festival runs from mid July to the third week in August and includes:
the Quality Foods Sand Sculpting Competition & Exhibition, weekend concerts, daily buskers, an artisan market and a special weekend evening light up of the sculptures.

What a summer it was at Parksville Beach Festival! From rain-soaked rockers to warm summer evenings, the theatre was filled with music, dancing, good times and some great crowds.

We kicked things off with April Wine, with The Tumblin' Dice opening the show. It was definitely a soggy start, but the rain didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits! Thank you to Van Roc Interiors.

Then came 8 weekends of Tim Hortons Summer Concerts, featuring The Rockin’ Crew, Wunderbread, LJ Mounteney, Sunset Strip, Mid Island Blues Allstars, Maxwell Smart, The Apollos and Whiskey Business.

And then… Mid Island Co-op's Beachfest Rocks! A three day music festival featuring: A Night of Bowie, Sticky Fingers - BC's Rolling Stones Experience, Zachary Stevenson’s Rock and Roll Call, Backbeat, Dreams, Good Times Roll, Arrival, Petty Fever - Tom Petty Tribute, March Hare, Classic Ronstadt, The Rod Show and Odyssey!

What a summer! 🌊☀️🎉

The 2026 Parksville Beach Festival was made possible by an incredible community and today, we want to recognize the people and organizations who helped make it happen.

What a night!

WOW. What a way to wrap up the 2026 Parksville Outdoor Theatre concert season.

Last night, more than 4,000 people came together in the Parksville Community Park for an unforgettable evening with one of Canada’s most iconic bands - Blue Rodeo.

From Simon Clow opening the show to Blue Rodeo taking the stage, it was a night filled with great music, big singalongs and the kind of energy that reminds us why live music matters.

But a night like this doesn’t just happen.

It takes months of planning, countless conversations, problem-solving, coordination and an incredible team of people working behind the scenes to make it all come together.

A huge thank you to our partners— Collective Entertainment & Events Group, the The MAC - McMillan Arts Centre, Ambassador Transportation and The Island Chauffeur and to our sponsors, Mid Island Liquor, Carlsberg, Sunbelt Rentals , SPR Traffic Services, Choices Market, Rite-Way Fencing Inc and RSM Productions.
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who worked alongside the Parksville Beach Festival Society to help bring this incredible concert to Parksville!

Before the sculptures were prepared to come down, we were delighted to once again share the joy of art in an accessible and meaningful way.

The Parksville Beach Festival Society was honoured to welcome members of the Canadian Council of the Blind Parksville Chapter, along with residents from Berwick Parksville, for a special tactile tour of the sculptures.

Through touch, our guests were able to experience the textures, forms and details of the artwork in a completely different way. It was a wonderful reminder that art can be experienced and enjoyed by everyone.

Thank you to all who joined us and helped make this such a memorable experience. ❤️

As five and a half incredible weeks come to a close, we’re reflecting on an unforgettable 2026 Parksville Beach Festival! 🏖️☀️

✨ 119,480 visitors experienced the Quality Foods Sand Sculpting Exhibition this summer
🎨 95,367+ People’s Choice votes helped choose this year’s favourites
🎶 From April Wine and the Tim Hortons Summer Concert Series to Buskers, Sand & Sounds and Beachfest ROCKS!, the Parksville Community Park was buzzing all summer long
❤️ And most importantly, the festival continues to give back with 2026 gate proceeds supporting 24 local not-for-profit organizations and community initiatives. Since 1999, the Society has contributed more than $1.2 million to our community.

Congratulations to our 2026 People’s Choice winners:

As the sculptures are carefully dismantled and the sand is stored for future use, we’re reminded that while the sculptures may only be here for a short time, their impact lasts much longer.

FINAL DAY! 😭
Today is your LAST CHANCE to experience the incredible Quality Foods Sand Sculpting Exhibition! Come down and see these amazing works of sand art before they’re gone! 🏰

We’re open until 8:30 PM tonight, so there’s still plenty of time to make one last visit, stroll through the exhibition and take in the incredible creativity on display.

What a GREAT closing weekend it has been! 🎶🌟 A huge thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy our final two Tim Hortons Free Summer Concerts, Quality Foods Festival of Lights and the spectacular Coastal Community Credit Union Light Up!
