Canadian music icon Jully Black delivered an intimate and soulful performance at the Ottawa Jazz Festival’s annual fundraising event on May 25. Held at the official residence of H.E. Michel Miraillet, Ambassador of France to Canada, the evening brought together festival supporters, community leaders, and music lovers in celebration of Ottawa’s vibrant arts and culture scene.

BIG NEWS! 🚨 For the first time ever, the Ottawa Jazz Festival grounds at Confederation Park will be completely open to the public!

Drop by nightly from June 18–28, 2026, starting at 5:00 PM to soak up the vibrant atmosphere, grab food and drinks before the show, and check out cool activations from partners like Nordik Spa.

And if you hear something you love? Tickets for performances inside our gated concert venues will be available for purchase on site at our Box Office or anytime through our website.

We are saddened to hear that a true giant of jazz, Sonny Rollins, has passed away at the age of 95. RIP Sonny Rollins. 🕊️

Ottawa audiences had the privilege of witnessing his legendary talent when he performed at the Ottawa Jazz Festival in 2005. If you were in the crowd that night, we’d love to hear your memories.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest jazz saxophonists of all time, Rollins helped shape the sound of modern jazz throughout a career spanning more than seven decades. Known for landmark albums such as Saxophone Colossus and The Bridge, his improvisational brilliance and influence inspired generations of musicians around the world.

His legacy will live on through the music he created and the countless artists he inspired. 🎶
