Dear Films4Falasteen Friends,

We are pleased to invite you to a special film screening of Stitching Palestine - خيوط السرد, directed by Carol Mansour.

This powerful 2017 documentary follows 12 Palestinian women as they share their lived experiences in Palestine and across the diaspora, and how they remain deeply connected to their culture through the art of embroidery. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion.

This event is co-hosted with the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum as part of the exhibition A Stitch in Time: The Palestinian History Tapestry, presented in partnership with the Palestine Museum US and currently on display at the Museum until April 19, the day of the screening.

If you haven’t yet experienced the exhibit, we encourage you to do so. This is a wonderful opportunity to explore the rich history and stories of Palestinian people brought to life on canvas.

This is a HYBRID event. You can join us online via Zoom or attend in person at the Museum. Note that in-person seating is limited, and registration is required.

Don't miss "A Stitch in Time: The Palestine History Tapestry"! Sunday, April 19 is the exhibition's last day on display. We're open from 1pm - 4pm, Wednesday through Sunday.

Hosted in partnership with Palestine Museum US, the exhibition is a selection of 64 pieces from the Palestinian History Tapestry ( ); a collection of over 100 panels hand-stitched by Palestinian women in refugee camps. The panels work together to form a timeline of Palestine, centering historical events, culture, and resistance.

This exhibition is generously supported by CCMW National; Dorothy Naylor; the Family of Mary Ballantyne; Focus on Palestine group, First United Church Ottawa; Hadi; nineSixteen Creative; Pam Harris; and Almonte Cozy 2 Bedroom Apartment (Airbnb).

Presented by Films4Falasteen on Saturday, March 28 at 4pm, the MVTM will be hosting a screening and discussion of the 2012 documentary, "Roadmap to Apartheid", which explores parallels between apartheid-era South Africa and Palestine-Israel. Registration is free and required, there are limited seats!

Made by a Jewish Israeli and a white South African, the film juxtaposes the reality of life in Palestine with the apartheid regime in South Africa between 1948 to 1994. The screening will be followed by an insightful discussion. Attendees will have the opportunity to take a deeper dive on key themes raised in the film.

This program is part of "A Stitch in Time: The Palestine History Tapestry", hosted in partnership with Palestine Museum US, and on display at the MVTM until April 19.
