Au nom de toute l'équipe, nous voulons vous remercier pour votre présence lors des trois jours du Festival Féministe 2021. Merci pour votre soutien, votre amour, vos commentaires, vos partages et surtout pour votre précieux temps.

Merci aux panélistes qui ont livré avec brio leurs savoirs expériences, ce qui pour nous est d'une valeur inestimable.

De plus, j'aimerais spécialement souligner spécialement le travail invisible des deux fondatrices du Festival. Travail sans quoi, tout cela n'aurait été possible.

Grand merci également à la Chaire conjointe en études des femmes, Université d'Ottawa et Carleton University et à l’Atelier d’innovation sociale de l’Université Saint-Paul pour votre soutien.

Enfin, malgré le thème « Féminismes en crises », nous souhaitons vous revoir bientôt, et ce afin de continuer la discussion, sur la déconstruction de ce monde, et par conséquent la reconstruction d'un monde qui nous ressemblent, un monde décolonial.

Thank you to the panelists who brilliantly shared their knowledge and experience, which is invaluable to us.

In addition, I would like to make special mention of the invisible work of the two founders of the Festival. Without their work, all this would not have been possible.

Cet atelier explorera le mouvement du raï, la musique populaire de l'Ouest algérien. La musique raï est un blues rebelle - elle défie le religieux, le colonial, le social et le statu quo acceptable et a donc été historiquement privée de ses droits par les colonisateurs et l'État-nation algérien local. Malgré sa marginalisation, il a été un symbole de soul, de liberté et de groove. Les étudiants apprendront le "groove" du rai à travers un jeu de jambes rythmique et fondamental.

This workshop will explore the movement of Raï, the popular music of West Algeria. Raï music is rebel blues - it challenges the religious, the colonial, the social, and the acceptable status quo and therefore has been historically disenfranchised by colonialists and local Algerian nation-state. Despite its marginalization, it has been a symbol of soulfulness, freedom, and groove. Students will learn rai "groove" through rhythmic and fundamental footwork.
