(217)

This Dragon Boat Canada Race Series Event is held on the Rideau River at Ottawa’s majestic Mooney’s Bay Park. Races are held in competitive, corporate and community categories. Participants will have the opportunity to join paddlers from all skill levels, from beginners to world champions, as they compete for greatness in a variety of divisions including the Sue Holloway Cup, Breast Cancer Paddler

s Cup, Pride Challenge Cup as well as the introduction of the new Paradragons and All Cancer Paddlers Challenge Cups. Sport crews from throughout North America will face off in the Sue Holloway Cup, named after Olympic medalist and Canadian Sports Hall of Famer. The Breast Cancer Paddlers (BCP) Cup highlights the long standing deep rooted history between dragon boating and breast cancer. This long standing division was created at the Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival to celebrate our BCP teams' commitment to dragon boating and inspiring perseverance. Another highlight is the festival’s popular multi-sport paddling event the Ottawa Wa’a (Hawaiian for outrigger canoe); a competition including divisions for OC1 (Outrigger Canoe), SUP (Stand Up Paddle Board), Surf Ski, 1X (Single Scull), Kayak, and Canoe. The festival is admission free for those that wish to enjoy the lush surroundings of the park, visit the enormous children’s playground, listen to free concerts, shop at a variety of artisans and exhibitors, eat delicious festival foods and cheer competitors on during the non-stop racing. The Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival is made possible by the continued support of Canadian Heritage’s Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage, Celebrate Ontario and the City of Ottawa Partnership Program.

BIG NEWS: The Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival presented by Scotiabank is proud to welcome Concord Pacific 協平世博集團 as our Official Dock Sponsor for 2026!

For nearly 40 years, Concord Pacific has been a champion of dragon boat racing in Canada, helping build one of the country's most celebrated dragon boat traditions on Vancouver's waterfront. Now, that legacy arrives in Ottawa.

As Official Dock Sponsor, Concord Pacific will be at the heart of the action at Mooney's Bay, where every race begins, teams gather before competition, friendships are forged, and unforgettable memories are made.

The docks are more than a launching point—they're where anticipation, teamwork, and community come together.

We're excited to partner with an organization that shares our commitment to culture, inclusion, active living, and community connection as we prepare to welcome thousands of athletes, volunteers, spectators, and supporters to Mooney's Bay, June 19–21, 2026.
