Every year we hold our Friday and Sunday ceilidhs at the Legion, but this year the staff were incredibly supportive of hosting Saturday’s events due to significant weather challenges. We were pleased to help recognize the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion and Branch 34 as our honoured Clan for 2026. Thanks to everyone who made it a memorable weekend!

Our great friends from the Uxbridge Scottish Festival kick-off tonight with this awesome concert featuring the Uxbridge Legion Pipes and Drums, Broke Down South of Taunton, and they close out Friday night with the Mudmen Celtic Rock Band !!! Tickets online and at the door. This will be such a great night and an awesome night to start their Festival weekend.

to everyone who volunteered, sponsored, supported, performed and attended the Orillia Scottish Festival this past weekend.

After (obsessively) monitoring numerous weather platforms, it was evident the most responsible decision was to enact a “plan B”, something we didn’t make lightly and had never encountered in 48 years.

While it wasn’t the event we planned and envisioned for the past year, what transpired with everyone working with us to salvage what we could, was truly amazing.

Did we get everything right? No, but with everyone’s patience, flexibility and enthusiasm to “pivot”, we were able to fill both floors of the Legion on Saturday with a variety of performers to keep everyone entertained.

We definitely missed our vendors, but have received consistent positive feedback that the right decision was made, and hope that they will return next year.

We will highlight our festival supporters over the coming weeks, but wanted to start our first “Thank you Thursday” as one huge THANK YOU to everyone for making it a truly memorable weekend.

We will see you in the park during the weekend of July 16, 17, 18, 2027, for our 49th (49!!!!) annual Orillia Scottish Festival.

🎶 Friday, July 24 – Kick off the weekend with Mudmen, Broke Down South of Taunton, and the Uxbridge Legion Pipes & Drums. Tickets are $25 online or $30 at the gate.

💪 Saturday, July 25 – Highland Games, pipe bands, Highland dancing, Scottish entertainment, food, vendors, and fun for the whole family. Admission by donation!
