💛 One last shoutout to our incredible grounds crew! 💛

Throughout the tournament, these amazing boys and girls worked hard under the direction of John Mooney, taking care of the field during the middle of every game—raking, sweeping, and keeping the bases in top shape.

They were the cutest crew on the diamond, and we couldn’t have asked for a better team keeping things game-ready. 👏⚾

A Neon Yellow Thank You! 💛⚾

To the ones in neon yellow,
Our gratitude runs deep,
You kept this tournament rolling,
While most were fast asleep!

From scoreboards to pitch counts, you handled it all,
Announcing the games, each strike and each ball.
Burgers were flipping, the BBQ hot,
Concessions were buzzing, you gave it your shot!

Dugouts prepped, coolers ready with ice,
Signs set in place, every detail precise.
From tents going up to tents coming down,
You worked through it all, no room for a frown.

First aid nearby, fields sharp and clean,
Photos capturing moments, every inning, every scene.
Umpires in black, keeping the game fair,
While neon yellow ran the show with heart and care.

You pulled off a banquet, gifts packed with pride,
Ceremonies organized, with national anthems sung loud and wide.
Hotels secured, results posted right,
Every behind-the-scenes moment done perfectly tight.

To every volunteer—thank you for your time, your spirit, your heart. 💛

⚾ Final Score – Game Fifteen ⚾

South Ottawa Blues came out strong today, securing a 4-2 win over East Nepean Eagles and booking their spot in the Championship Final tomorrow at 10:00 am against Toronto High Park!

Credit to both teams for a well-fought semi-final—Ottawa stayed composed under pressure, while Nepean battled hard and kept it close right to the end. A great game of competitive baseball!
