đŸ›ïž Most retail spaces are designed to stay the same for years. But what if they didn’t have to?

At the flagship at , a large curved LED screen is integrated directly into the architecture of the store. Instead of installing a permanent piece, the screen allows the artwork to evolve over time.

The original digital work has now been replaced by a new piece by , a visual journey in twelve acts where suspended flowers, dreamlike landscapes and delicate geometries echo the brand’s identity.

Because the artwork is digital, it can also travel beyond the store itself. The content can live across social platforms, while the same screen format is already implemented in multiple DYNAMITE locations.

When the canvas becomes part of the architecture, art can evolve with the life of the brand.

Urban development doesn’t just shape skylines; it shapes how people connect đŸ‘„

We walk faster, linger less, and avoid shared space more than ever. For real estate leaders, this isn’t just a social concern; it affects the long-term value of our environments.

This carousel brings together research and strategies showing how the design and programming of public space can rebuild connections.

At , we see creative placemaking as a strategic tool. A way to turn underused areas into activated, inclusive spaces that support both human and economic resilience.

It’s part of building assets that perform culturally, socially, and financially.

đŸ”” In the heart of Chengdu, artists have unveiled ‘Stop, Listen, Look’, a bold new installation celebrating the city’s energy, creativity, and culture.

Commissioned by the mixed-use development and brought to life with , it is more than a visual landmark; it’s an interactive experience where sound, movement, and play come together to forge real emotional connections.

From horn-like sculptures transmitting music and shadow, to playful seesaws inviting participation, Wade and Leta crafted an installation that truly lives through its people.

Featuring a dynamic soundtrack by and a layered soundscape from local artist Jin Huang, ‘Stop, Listen, Look’ is a masterclass in creative placemaking, proving that when art honours local rhythms and invites participation, it doesn’t just beautify a space. It transforms it.

With Keff Joons, recently transformed an industrial Brooklyn warehouse into a balloon-filled organism that overwhelmed space and orientation. It worked not because it was polished, but because it demanded participation and created connections.

Art in unexpected places has the power to redefine how people move, connect, and experience the built environment. As we rethink public spaces, it’s this kind of immersive disruption that pushes placemaking beyond mere decoration.

We are particularly inspired by ’s work, which thoughtfully repurposes industrial materials and processes to create large-scale installations đŸ’«

In Zurich, noble gases from the Big Bang illuminate a children’s hospital. In Santorini, road-marking equipment is used to lay abstract pigment across a museum terrace. And in public commissions, street-paint materials are redeployed to create unexpected visual systems.

His work is a reminder that process is not just technical, it’s a way to rethink how we engage with places and material.

đŸ—œ NYC LOVE isn’t just a mural. It’s a reminder of what great public art can do when placed with intention.

Commissioned by the and installed near 22nd Street for one year, this vibrant piece by Nina Chanel Abney captured the sensory overload — and possibility — of falling in love with for the first time.

What makes this project noteworthy isn’t just the work itself, but where and how it lived. NYC LOVE transformed a transitional public space into a cultural moment — one that reflected the city’s identity while shaping a lasting emotional connection for both locals and visitors.

Strategic placemaking uses temporary art to keep places agile, relevant, and connected to the present. It can:
⇱ Activate space in ways that evolve over time
⇱ Create new rhythms of engagement and return visits
⇱ Reflect a city or place’s identity in motion
⇱ Offer visibility to more diverse artists and stories

At Terminal 1, ’s mural brings a strong visual presence to a connecting hallway.

Inspired by aerial views from a plane window, the installation reinterprets familiar landscapes through bold geometry and saturated colour. The piece shifts depending on where you stand — up close, you’re immersed in a single tone; from a distance, a larger pattern emerges.

Art like this introduces rhythm and clarity to high-traffic environments, offering travellers something unexpected in between points A and B.

In the , culture is embedded in the retail experience. This creative district, rooted in , has redefined what a shopping destination can be—where architecture, design, and public art come together to shape how people experience place.

Driven by a bold creative placemaking strategy, the District integrates both permanent and temporary cultural moments into the everyday, making art an essential part of how people move through and connect with the space.

That vision comes to life with « : Dreamscape », a temporary installation on view until March 31 that transforms public space through play and participation. One of its centrepieces, « Sculpture of Desires (2019) », rises 30 feet high in Jungle Plaza and its newest counterpart, « Emotional Candy (2025) », invites visitors into a disorienting maze designed to blend movement, sound, and reflection.

Together, they show how thoughtfully embedded public art can turn a shopping destination into a cultural experience.

📍 On view March 18–31. Presented by and the . Conceived and co-produced by Meet People Meet Places with support from , Craig Robins and Clarice O. Tavares.
