22e édition du Forum RIDM: 20 au 25 novembre 2026.

Organisée dans le cadre des Rencontres internationales du documentaire de Montréal (RIDM), la 20e édition du Forum RIDM aura lieu du 22 au 27 novembre 2024. Le Forum RIDM offre un programme intensif d’ateliers professionnels, de conférences et de tables rondes qui favorise la formation, les échanges et le partage de connaissances entre les différents acteurs de l'industrie.

Organized as part of

the Montreal International Documentary Festival (RIDM), the 20th edition of the Forum RIDM will be held from November 22 to 27, 2024. Forum RIDM offers an intensive program of professional workshops, lectures and roundtables that focus on training, discussion and sharing of knowledge among the various players in the industry.

L’appel à projets pour le Doc Lab Montréal 2026 est ouvert !

Pour qui?
Les cinéastes émergent·e·s et/ou producteur·trice·s du Québec, du Canada et de l’international ayant un projet de long métrage documentaire d’auteur en développement.

Nouveauté cette année :
Doc Lab Montréal ouvre pour la première fois son appel aux projets internationaux. Veuillez noter que le nombre de candidatures internationales est limité à 100 projets. Par conséquent, ce volet pourrait fermer avant la date limite si le nombre maximal de soumissions est atteint plus tôt.

Doc Lab Montréal aura lieu du 20 au 22 novembre 2026, pendant le Forum RIDM.
Le Forum RIDM aura lieu du 20 au 25 novembre 2026.

The call for projects for Doc Lab Montréal 2026 is now open!

Who can apply?
Emerging filmmakers and/or producers from Quebec, across Canada, and internationally with an auteur-driven documentary project in development.

New this year:
Doc Lab Montréal is opening its call for international projects for the first time. Please note that the number of international applications is limited to 100 projects and this stream may close before the deadline if the maximum number of submissions is reached in advance.

Doc Lab Montréal will take place from November 20–22, 2026, during Forum RIDM.
Forum RIDM will take place from November 20–25, 2026.

⏰ Submit your project before June 19, 2026.

L’appel à projets pour le Rough Cut Pitch 2026 est ouvert !

Pour qui?
Les cinéastes et producteur·trice·s du Québec, du Canada et de l’international ayant un long métrage documentaire d’auteur en postproduction ou encore en production, à condition de pouvoir présenter un extrait de 10 minutes d’ici novembre 2026.

Nouveauté cette année :
Rough Cut Pitch ouvre son appel aux projets internationaux. Veuillez noter que le nombre de candidatures internationales est limité à 50 projets. Par conséquent, ce volet pourrait fermer avant la date limite si le nombre maximal de soumissions est atteint plus tôt.

Le Rough Cut Pitch aura lieu du 23 au 25 novembre 2026 pendant le Forum RIDM.
Le Forum RIDM aura lieu du 20 au 25 novembre 2026.

Filmmakers and producers from Quebec, across Canada, and internationally with an auteur-driven feature-length documentary project in post-production or currently in production and able to present a 10-minute excerpt by November 2026.

New this year:

[ 🏆 PRIX ] PROJET CANADIEN PRIMÉ À CANNES DOCS !

Félicitations à Ashley Duong et à la productrice Ina Fichman, dont le projet BA’S BOOK a remporté le Documentary Magazine Award à Cannes Docs dans le cadre du Docs-In-Progress – Canadian Showcase.

Le prix offrira une visibilité internationale exceptionnelle au projet, notamment grâce à une parution dans Documentary Magazine.

Présenté au Marché du Film du Festival de Cannes, BA’S BOOK faisait partie des quatre projets documentaires canadiens sélectionnés cette année grâce au partenariat entre Forum RIDM et Téléfilm Canada.

Changement de direction du Forum RIDM !

Les RIDM annoncent la nomination d’Ana Alice de Morais à titre de directrice du Forum RIDM.

Membre de l’équipe des RIDM depuis 2021, elle quitte ses fonctions de codirectrice artistique du festival pour prendre la direction du Forum RIDM.
Son parcours au sein de l’organisation aura été marqué par une contribution essentielle à la programmation du Forum RIDM au cours des trois dernières éditions, ainsi qu’une implication constante dans le développement de ce marché professionnel, le seul dédié au documentaire au Québec.

Avec cette nomination, le Forum RIDM se dote d’une direction pleinement dédiée à son rayonnement et à son positionnement stratégique, dans la continuité du travail déjà amorcé.

Le conseil d’administration et l’équipe des RIDM saluent cette nomination et lui souhaitent beaucoup de succès dans ses nouvelles fonctions.

Forum RIDM Leadership Change!

RIDM announce the appointment of Ana Alice de Morais as Director of Forum RIDM.

A member of the RIDM team since 2021, she is stepping down from her role as Co-Artistic Director of the festival to take on the leadership of Forum RIDM.
Her work within the organization has been marked by a key contribution to Forum RIDM’s programming over the past three editions, as well as ongoing involvement in the development of this professional market—the only one dedicated to documentary in Quebec.

With this appointment, Forum RIDM is establishing a dedicated leadership focused on its growth and strategic positioning, building on the work already underway.

The Board of Directors and the RIDM team welcome this appointment and wish her every success in her new role.
