First Friday Mariposa

The next First Friday is Sept 4th. Bring your acoustic instruments with built-in pickups, including guitar, bass, fiddle, mandolin, or banjo.

House equipment provided:
DI's
Piano
Amps
Drums (please bring your brushes)

All music styles and all skill levels are welcome!

This is a circle jam, so you can play along all evening. Everyone will have an opportunity to lead two songs, making for a fun and interactive night of music.

Thanks to everyone who came out to First Friday@Mariposa & helped kick off the return of the Circle. Thanks to Tim, Jacques, John, Debbie, Sue, Nancy, Brent, Peter, Serge, & a shout out to Dominic for playing Bass all evening.

Here's how the Circle works: bring your acoustic instrument, music sheets, & or your singing voice & choose a chair in the circle. There's a wireless mic, a wireless guitar transmitter, & a music stand to pass around for each musician/singer's turn to do 2 songs. With multiple musicians & singers in the circle, this creates the opportunity to have accompaniment & harmonies while performing your songs. Musicians have the opportunity to play for the evening. Bring your Acoustic Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin, Fiddle, Dobro, Accordion, Harmonica, Bass or just vocals. Sorry no drums.

The theme is Country but that includes, Country Rock, Bluegrass, Old Timey, some Classic Rock, & any song that sounds great on an Acoustic Instrument. Variety makes the world go round!
