Fokus Film Festival is McGill’s annual student-run film festival, brought to you by TVM: Student Television at McGill. FOKUS is an opportunity for the McGill community to showcase and celebrate their work in film, either through general submissions or by participating in the 72-Hour Filmmaking Contest. eral Submissions! Any undergraduate student in Montreal is welcome to submit! The genre categories are Documentary, Experimental, Drama, and Comedy. The General Submissions form will open February 10th, 2022 and close March 10, 2022. Submissions form: https://forms.gle/byTTtZuAh1GrGmtT9

You will be notified about the status of your film soon after March 17th; if your film has been selected, it will be screened as part of our event on March 24th.

72-HOUR FILMMAKING CONTEST
The 72-Hour Filmmaking Contest is a subsection of Fokus Film Festival where participants have 72 hours to write, shoot, and edit a film. Additionally, participants will be given a theme, prop, and quote they must use in their film. Participants in the 72-Hour Filmmaking Contest will have from February 24th, 6pm EST to February 27th, 6pm EST to create their film. The deadline to register is February 20th, 11:59pm EST.
