We’re looking for a creative Social Media Coordinator (Volunteer) to bring Italfest’s energy online. Our ideal candidate is locally based and has reliable transportation to travel as needed. Target start is May 1.

What You’ll Do:
• Create and schedule content across social platforms
• Design graphics, reels, stories, and short‑form videos
• Engage with followers, manage messages/comments
• Build Facebook Events and support online promotions
• Track analytics and refine content strategy
• Highlight sponsors and partners
• Curate on‑brand content
• Provide live social coverage during the festival

We’re looking for a Marketing & Communications Coordinator 🎉 (Volunteer) to help bring our 2026 festival to life. Target start: by May 1st. Our ideal candidate is locally based and has reliable transportation to travel as needed.

This role is perfect for someone who:

🖊 Loves writing + storytelling
📸 Enjoys creating content
📣 Wants hands‑on marketing experience
🤝 Thrives in a community‑driven environment

What you’ll do:

• Support festival marketing across social, web, email & print
• Help shape our messaging and written content
• Assist with creating posters, flyers, newsletters & digital ads
• Capture onsite content (photo/video) and help build highlight reels
• Keep marketing assets updated (sponsor decks, rate cards, promo copy)
• Coordinate with sponsors, vendors & partners
• Join committee meetings and help with follow‑ups

Buy In: $40 full stack (food & drink not included)
Rebuys allowed: $40 full stack / $20 half stack

We are thrilled to share that Mississauga Italfest's very own, Patti Jannetta-Baker has been officially inducted into the Festival & Events Ontario Hall of Fame for 2026 — an honour that recognizes decades of dedication to building vibrant cultural experiences across the province.

Patti was instrumental in establishing Mississauga Italfest in 2013, and her ongoing charitable work continues to enrich the cultural landscape of our community.
