THE GATHERING: Presented by Subaru of Moncton

For one unforgettable night, the Rodd Miramichi River will be transformed into an immersive celebration of food and music. The restaurant, conference centre, hallways and decks will all become part of the evening, inviting you to wander, taste and take it all in.

Presented by Subaru of Moncton, The Gathering is our signature Saturday night event at the Gather East Culinary and Music Festival.

You will explore chef-led tasting stations, visit our mixology area and enjoy the riverside decks while sampling some of the exceptional ingredients our region has to offer.

Throughout the evening, The Kilted Chef Chef Lee Jones, Chef Rob McKim, Chef Darren Peter-Paul, Chef Brian Matheson and Chef Dustin will each bring their own creativity and culinary perspective to a series of memorable tasting experiences.

You will also enjoy signature cocktails created by mixologist Aaron Malley, a live culinary demonstration by The Kilted Chef and performances by Kylie Fox and Joe H Henry
The evening will close with a headline performance by Lennie Gallant

This is what our festival was created to celebrate - exceptional East Coast food, talented people and unforgettable experiences.

This September, Chef Rob McKim from Alma Snackbar & Grocery will be part of The Gathering on the Saturday night of our festvial, joining The Kilted Chef and an incredible lineup of chefs and musicians for an unforgettable weekend in Miramichi.

EXPERIENCE MIRAMICHI AT GATHER EAST!

Gather East was created to celebrate the flavours, sounds, people and experiences of our region.

On Saturday, September 26, we’re taking the festival beyond the food and music and inviting you to get out and Experience Miramichi.

Cast a line for striped bass on the Miramichi River, take a scenic river cruise, explore local flora through a guided foraging experience, slow things down with a mindful goat hike and Highland Cattle visit, get hands-on with a cocktail experience inspired by local flavours, or go behind the scenes at a local craft brewery.

We’ve partnered with local guides, businesses and experience providers to showcase some of the incredible things there are to see, do and taste right here in our region.

These optional add-on experiences are available to purchase separately, so you can create your own Gather East weekend and experience even more of Miramichi.

BRUNCH MUSICAL LINEUP ANNOUNCEMENT

Two of Atlantic Canada’s most accomplished musicians, Logan Richard and Chris Kirby, will come together for a special one-day-only performance at Brunch with The Kilted Chef and Friends on Sunday, September 27, at the Rodd Miramichi River!

Logan Richard is a gifted singer-songwriter from Prince Edward Island. His latest album, Character Traits, earned him three major honours at the 2026 Music PEI Awards: Album of the Year, Songwriter of the Year and Single of the Year for “The Grass Is Blue (Everywhere I Go).”

Joining Logan is Chris Kirby, an extraordinary multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer described by The Trews’ Colin MacDonald as “the East Coast music scene’s secret weapon.” Chris regularly performs on keyboards and accordion with Matt Andersen and has written with some of Canada’s most celebrated artists. He also co-wrote The Trews’ chart-topping hit “The Breakdown.”
