The shirts have been ordered!!! And remaining race entries are disappearing fast! (We have zero plans to open up any more spots.)

Huge thanks to everyone who jumped in before the guaranteed shirt deadline. We’re sitting at 127 registered racers already which is close to the entire amount we had on race-day last year…but we’re still 2 months out! Whoop whoop! July 18th is going to be a party!

We did order a limited assortment of extra shirts, and racers registering from this point forward can still choose from the remaining inventory WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.

Are you a Men’s Large? Ladies M? One of those super common sizes that everyone seems to want? 😅 (Legit: those were the two most common sizes ordered.) You may not want to wait too long.

🤩 Flying Acorn 2026 has expanded its participant base with runners now signed up from Alberta 🏔️ (3), Saskatchewan 🌾 (3), Manitoba 🦬 (103), Ontario 🌳 (1) and Quebec 🥖 (2)! At these numbers, we’re well over half way to an event sell out 2+ months prior to race day, so if you want a spot, snap up your distance quickly!

Did you know…Every time you run a trail race in Manitoba without being a MATR member… you’re leaving Ultimate Trails of Manitoba points on the table? 👀

Wait—what’s MATR? Never heard of it?!

MATR is… well… technically it’s the thing the universe is made of.
Some of it is dark. Some of it is light.
Some of it is dirt (which, conveniently, is also what trails are made of).

So yeah… it really MATRs.

Without it?

No you. No us. No trails.
No squirrels. No acorns.
No Flying Acorn.
Honestly… bleak.

MATR (the real one) is the Manitoba Association of Trail Runners—an awesome crew advocating for trails and trail runners across the province. Join them and you also receive automatic entry into their Ultimate Trails of Manitoba points series.
