Over the years, “Christmas in Merrickville” has grown to become one of the most successful Christmas events in eastern Ontario. With the extensive and generous support of volunteers, local businesses, and community organizations it is exceptionally popular with villagers and visitors alike. Visitors from all over Ontario, Quebec, and the United States continuously praise our strollable village with its stone and Victorian brick shopfronts, restaurants, pubs, artists’ studios and historic homes. Merrickville is a classic picture of Christmas past and a perfect place to enjoy the holiday season.

Christmas is coming back to Merrickville on Saturday, December 5th, 2026
and we're inviting local businesses and individuals to help bring it to life on our very own "Candy Cane Lane"!

We're looking for warm-hearted, community-minded businesses and individual to join us as sponsors at every level:

This year, we're creating the best Christmas in Merrickville Art Show
“The Art of Giving”.

All applications are subject to approval by the Christmas in Merrickville Committee.

Christmas in Merrickville: The Art of Giving is a community art show open to all artists and artisans, celebrating creativity, connection, and the spirit of giving that makes this season so special.
Spots are limited.

Location: Merrickville Community Centre, 106 Read Street, Merrickville, Ontario
Entry Fee: $30 per artisan/artist/maker (non-refundable).
Date: Saturday, December 5th, 2026
Booth spaces are approximately 8x8 Limited amount of Tables available.

Open to approval by Christmas in Merrickville committee: Painters, Sculptors, Mixed Media artists, fine artisans, makers of all kinds of Christmassy gifts.

Apply by September 15, 2026
Spots are limited!
Please note: submitting an application does not guarantee a spot in the show, all accepted artists, artisans and makers are required to provide a valid proof of insurance to participate and payment of $30 once we confirm your participation spot.
