ALTERNATIVE WAVES MUSIC FESTIVAL is a 2 day, multi-genre music festival based in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. Beginning with it's inaugural show in 2015 (followed by a 4 year hiatus), through to Alt Waves 2019 and the dark times of the COVID pandemic (2020, 2021) we have always loved to showcase the best up and coming acts, as well as a bunch of familiar favorites. 2024 was our biggest and best year yet! Festival dates for the upcoming year are June 13th and 14th, 2025. Get ahold of us for more info on how to apply, volunteer or get on a list for other upcoming show bookings!

A decade of blood, sweat, tears and heavy fu***ng metal deserves one hell of a celebration. Medicine Hat’s own Crimson Caliber are marking 10 years with a massive anniversary show, bringing together a killer lineup of heavy homies from across Alberta.

Joining them for the big pit will be Edmonton heavyweights Juliet Ruin , Calgary death folk masters Balrogath and local legends Raising the Ruins ! Ten years in...... Still tearing it up. GET READY TO CELEBRATE AND SHOW YOUR CALIBER! See you in the pit! 🤘🌊🤘
