Submit online at AssistExpo.ca/markhamfair or drop off paper forms at the Fair office. We can't wait to see your exhibits as we celebrate 182 years of Markham Fair! 🎡

Happy World Milk Day! 🥛 At Markham Fair, dairy has always been at the heart of what we do. From our 4-H Dairy Club to our Open Dairy Show, we're proud to celebrate the hardworking farmers and young agriculturalists who keep this tradition alive in our community.

May is Museum Month, and this year's theme, The Value of Ontario Museums, feels especially fitting as we share these incredible glimpses into Markham's agricultural past.

The archival photos above, courtesy of Markham Museum via the Virtual Museum of Canada, capture the Markham Agricultural Society's Annual Fall Exhibition. From the fairgrounds buzzing with activity, to a proud team of horses, to a First Prize ribbon from October 1915.

And the story isn't just in the archives! As this Markham Village Heritage plaque at the corner of Main Street and Highway 7 reminds us, that very ground was the heart of the fair for over a century and a half. Before the fair relocated to McCowan Road in 1977. 📍

Museums and local heritage markers like this one help us see history right beneath our feet. That's the value of Ontario museums. 🐴🏆

🏥❤️ Giving back to the community we love!

Markham Fair President Devin King, along with Past Presidents Scott Redshaw and Dylan Armstrong, visited the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation for our annual cheque presentation, proudly donating $4,000 in support of the vital work they do for our community.
