Well folks, it’s taken some time, but here goes nothing! #48! Wow! Right?!
23 teams - 43 games played between our two locals rinks!
Each year we get into ‘go mode’ in January and don’t stop till the week after we wrap it up! All the while jotting down ideas and thoughts for what we’ll add in or expand on for the next year. This year was definitely no different! We had so many conversations over the 48th weekend! With current and future sponsors! 😊
This weekend is about more than hockey (the hockey is pretty dang great though)!
It’s about seeing old friends and making new.. Cheering and chirping those on the ice (and off the ice).. It’s about family. Our huge, hockey family. ♥️ And.. It’s for the kids!
We want to thank the families of John ‘Sack’ and Craig for allowing us to honour them during our opening ceremonies this year.
As always, our tiny crew want to take the time to send a great big THANK YOU to:
- The office and rink staff of both the Richmond Arena and Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre!
- To the graduating minor / high school hockey players and parents who helped with the time clock and score sheets!
- To the minor hockey players and parents who helped with our 50/50 boards and other tasks around the rink!

Without all of you there would be no tournament.. We are grateful to have such a strong support system!
We cannot wait to share this year’s donation to the Strait Richmond Minor Hockey Association with you as well as bursaries awarded in the near future! ♥️
But until then, again, thank you! We could never say that enough! Our hearts are full and our cheeks still sore from laughing!
