Harmony Bazaar is excited to present our Songwriters Retreat, happening May 30–31, 2026 at the Crescent Beach Centre in Lockeport, NS. Join acclaimed songwriter Terra Spencer for a two-day immersive experience exploring lyrics, melody, and storytelling in a supportive, inspiring setting.

With space limited to just 15 participants, this retreat is designed to be personal, hands-on, and deeply creative. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your craft, this is a chance to grow, connect, and create.

Registration is $50 (with a portion returned upon participation), thanks in part to Harmony Bazaar helping to offset the true cost of the workshop to keep it accessible.

At the Harmony Bazaar Festival of Women & Song, we believe that when women are given the stage, the mic, the mentorship, and the resources entire communities resonate.

The International Women’s Day 2026 theme, Give, to Gain, aligns with the mission of the Harmony Bazaar Festival of Women & Song. For nearly two decades, our festival has been built on the simple belief that investing in female artists strengthens our cultural landscape, our local economy, and our shared sense of belonging.

Give To Gain is more than a campaign it’s a call to action that mirrors what Harmony Bazaar does year-round:
- We give stage time to women and gender-diverse artists
- We give mentorship and songwriting workshops
- We give visibility and opportunity

When female artists thrive, audiences thrive. When creators are supported, communities flourish. When rural stages amplify diverse voices, the cultural fabric of Nova Scotia grows stronger.
Gender equality in music and the arts doesn’t happen by accident it happens through generosity, collaboration, advocacy, and sustained commitment.

So in 2026, as we gather once again to celebrate women and song, we ask:
