It was with great sadness, and heavy hearts over the sudden passing of Aaron Charles Smith on August 24th, 2022. Aaron left behind his beautiful wife Melanie along with 3 amazing sons: Aven, Dane and Jace. Two great parents, Brian and Nancy and an incredible brother Ryan. There are also many close family members and countless friends that Aaron touched in his life. Aaron was born in Winnipeg on June 12, 1981. He graduated from Windsor Park Collegiate and went on to become a Red Seal Journeyman Millwright. Aaron’s passions included being with family/friends, and always being the life of the party. He loved golfing, hunting and hockey when he was younger. He always encouraged his boys to do what they loved with nothing but passion. Aaron was truly loved and will always be clearly missed.
We are proud to announce the Inaugural Aaron Smith Memorial Golf Tournament fundraiser that will be held at Kingswood Golf & Country Club on June 12th, 2023. It’s a gorgeous 18-hole, par 71 course that is considered one of the most beautiful and challenging courses in Manitoba. Golfers will be expected to be there for 10am with an 11am sharp shotgun start. We know this golf tournament will be a great sold-out success and only hope to build it over the next 10 years to be one of the most anticipated Golf Tournaments of the year for everyone.
Entry for the Golf Tournament is $200.00 per player. Teams will consist of 4 players and a steak dinner will be included. This tournament would only be possible through the contributions from our sponsors & donors. We currently only have 10 Silver Sponsors and 5 Gold Sponsors remaining. set to SMITTY & in the comment line please specify the group of players you will be playing with if applicable and include your full name. Once accepted, we will send you the registration form to fill out with your ticket entry number.
This year, all funds raised from our tournament will be going directly to Aaron's 3 Boys: Aven, Dane and Jace. We are looking forward to working with our tournament players, donors and sponsors, in making this golf tournament a huge success. Please note that once we receive payment from the first 152 players the tournament will be closed. Sorry no exceptions can be made on this and we anticipate this selling out fast so please get your ticket as soon as possible.
