An evening celebrating heritage in Fellowship Hall!

A big thank you to the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals CAHP / ACECP for choosing Fellowship Hall to host their awards ceremony!

The evening celebrated the people and projects dedicated to preserving our architectural and cultural heritage, something particularly meaningful to us here at St. Matthews, given the history of our own building.

And what a lovely addition to the evening to have two local musicians from the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony providing live music for the celebration!

Congratulations to all this year's award recipients!

A little cello, a little organ… and soup for lunch!

Our next St. Matthews Presents concert is happening this Wednesday, and it's a lovely excuse to take a midweek break.

Join cellist Emma Allan and organist Mark Himmelman for an hour of music featuring classical works, original compositions and a seasonal surprise.

And because we think a Wednesday lunch break should include lunch, there will be hearty soup and homemade bread following the music.

Two very different concerts. One candlelit Sanctuary.

Candlelight Concerts by Fever are back at St. Matthews on October 30, with two favourites on the program!

6:30 PM — Ed Sheeran Meets Coldplay

After making its St. Matthews debut in September, this tribute returns with familiar favourites reimagined for strings.

8:45 PM — Tribute to ABBA

From Dancing Queen to Mamma Mia, ABBA's biggest hits get the Candlelight treatment.

If you haven't seen the Sanctuary filled with candlelight yet, it's quite a sight! Here's a little clip from a past concert...but honestly nothing compares to seeing it in person!

Find tickets through our events calendar: www.stmatthewscentre.com/events or visit Fever online at https://feverup.com/en/kitchener-waterloo-on-canada/search?q=

October is Hopetober at HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre!

Our friends at HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre have launched their Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign, and they've set a pretty incredible goal.

This year, they're hoping to raise $15,000 to provide 375 post-mastectomy camisoles to people who need them.

These specially designed garments can offer comfort during recovery, and HopeSpring is working to make them available to more people in our community.

There are lots of ways to get involved, from attending community events to spreading the word or making a donation. The photo is their signature Hopetober Pink Bouquet and is available for order online.

We're cheering you on, HopeSpring! 💗
