Here we have it, folks! The final band announcement our 8th annual TDTU showcase is... Burnt Lung!!!

Burnt Lung may seem like they're working double time to put the Stoner in "Stoner Metal" with song titles like "High On" and "B**g Sipper," however, the Vancouver trio take the Sludge and Doom aspects most seriously. After spending 2024 releasing a 4 track self-titled EP and touring British Columbia, the band is set to combine their sludgy riffs with Aaron's loud, fuzzy bass, Sol's thunderous drums, and Harry's throat-rending howls in their upcoming debut full length album.

For our 6th band announcement.. these guys have been burning bread since the day they were born... Toaster!!!

Forged in the wilds of the west kootenays, Toaster blends into the punk vibe with heavy riffs and loudness and bends it into a stoner state with a touch of the weirdness..
This trio brings a good time to the stage, wether it’s a backyard festival, an old theater or some dusty basement, Toaster will be there, ready to deliver.

For our 5th band announcement, our dear friends and co-founders of TDTU, .band!!

Power trio Charles Mansion distill elements of Psych Rock and Doom Metal into a potent concoction of fuzzed-out, down-tuned, riff-centric music to cleanse the bubble gum right out your system. Sticky grooves and hypnotic melodies walk a knife’s edge between the darkness and the light. The void is calling. Imploring you to take a drink. cheers.

Only 17 days until it's showtime.. and with that, we announce our 4th band... ..

Legend says they once drilled a hole in Siberian Russia, 7.6 miles deep. What the scientists found was classified immediately, the hole capped, the site decommissioned and abandoned. No one is quite sure what was discovered, but you can be sure the depths that diamond-tipped drill bit touched was somewhere close to where Nelson Rockers Cave Dweller mine riffs for their brand of crushing, melodic doom and gloom!

Ylem (pronounced EYE-luhm) is a psychedelic rock collective from Vancouver, offering up a vast, ever expanding sonic palette from hypnotic grooves to unrelenting walls of fuzz. With their 2025 debut release Aeons released into the cosmos, Ylem have set sights on administering mind-bending trances throughout the Vancouver underground scene and beyond.

Empress brings a crushing blend of ambient doom, stoner, and sludge straight from the Pacific Northwest. Their sound is massive, their vision uncompromising, and their live show? Absolutely fierce.

Since forming in 2017, they’ve shared stages with heavyweights like Gojira, Animals as Leaders, Monolord, and more, and they’ve torn through North America and Europe with releases via Hammerheart, Na**lm Records, and The Orchard.
