Congratulations to Carys Robertshaw of the North Island Impact on being named the 2025 recipient of the Todd Campbell Memorial Award.
While Carys maintains top academic marks she also plays on her school basketball, volleyball, and soccer teams. Last year she was named the Top Grade 8 Girls’ Basketball Player and earned the Top Soccer Player award while playing on the senior girls’ team (grades 8–12), stepping up when there were not enough junior players. Beyond school athletics, Carys plays U15 Rep B softball as a shortstop and pitcher.
In soccer, she currently plays U16 Tier 2, and last year she played in the BC Soccer Premier League (BCSPL). Although she was offered a returning spot this year, she respectfully declined to focus more fully on her hockey development.
Hockey has been a central part of her life since Grade 1, and this is her third season with the North Island Impact. She shows up consistently, works relentlessly, and elevates those around her. She is regularly praised for her coachability, steady effort, and genuine dedication to her team. Her practice habits, effort and intensity being some of them, make those around her have to match them and in turn make them better.
Carys exemplifies the spirit of the Todd Campbell Memorial Award.
