Battery change time. (Or a 10 year sealed detector change time!!)

👩‍🚒 This Sunday, remember the clocks spring forward and to check the batteries in both your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Make sure that both smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are up to date and not expired, and test to make sure they are working!

Helping Save Lives With AED:

The goal of the run is to be able to provide an ‘AED’, or Automated External Defibrillator, for the Huntsville Community and Fire Department. Last year the target goal for the 2018 Responders Run was reached in large part to Action First Aid, who donated a SaveStation to the Huntsville Station 1 Fire Department. The SaveStation is a line of AED cabinets that provide consistent, recognizable housing for AEDs. It is designed to help individuals quickly identify where a defibrillator is in an emergency and to access its easy-to-use life-saving AED.

On behalf of the communities where our participants are from, The SportLab will be collecting support for individual 1st Responders and donations towards installation and awareness for public-access AEDs (Automated External Defibrillator) within our communities.

The SportLab is thrilled to present The Responders Run 2019 on September 21, 2019. Registration and race start are located at Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Station 1 on 1 Payne Drive in Huntsville. The route follows the beautiful Hunters Bay Trail and includes a hard pack trail and the floating bridge!

Get to know your fellow 1st responders at the 5K or 10K run followed by a hot breakfast buffet! There will be finishers awards and draw prizes!
