🎨ART CRAWL ARTIST SPOTLIGHT🎨

In celebration of the Huntsville Art CRAWL running June 1-August 31st in Downtown Huntsville, we're shining a spotlight on all the amazing local artists participating in the Crawl!

⭐ Lisa McIlmoyle #3 - That Little Place by the Lights⭐
I am a wife, mother of two boys, and a grandma to a beautiful baby girl. I retired from teaching French Immersion at the elementary level in 2019 and started painting for the first time during the pandemic. I have always been captivated by colour and the beauty of our natural landscape both here in Muskoka as well the awe-inspiring shores of Georgian Bay where I grew up. Colour and the play of light continue to inspire my daily work at the easel! I love my time outdoors with my two Black Labs, snapping photos to inspire my creative work.

⭐ Sandra Corry #4 - Muskoka Bicycle Shop⭐
Sandra Corry (McIntyre) was born and raised in the Huntsville area, where a deep love of the outdoors naturally became a lifelong passion. She finds joy in bringing some of those experiences to life through her paintings. Having lived in the beautiful Muskoka region all her life, Sandra considers it a true blessing—one she never takes for granted. A self-taught artist, she currently works primarily in acrylics… for now!

⭐ Brenda Behan Turnour #4 - Muskoka Bicycle Shop ⭐
I'm a 4th generation artist who has been painting landscapes, architecture, animals, people...anything, since i was 8 years old and sold my first painting when i was 12. Art is just a part of who i am.

⭐Ruth Wilgress #36 - Little Shoppe of Arts⭐
Ruth Wilgress is an artist who works and lives in Muskoka Ontario since 2018; however, she is the fourth generation in her family to have settled in the beautiful region. Ruth studied at McMaster University and continued on in several studies that have lead her towards a career in mental health. In her spare time Ruth uses her playful curiosity to collage in recycled items into her acrylic and mixed media paintings.

The Eagles sold more albums than anyone else. Think of that. Picture what 50 million albums stacked up looks like. Wow. I bought this album on 8-track, then later on vinyl. Then I owned it on cassette, then, dammit, I bought the CD. I stopped there and dragged the songs from my CD to my iTunes. The voices on this album are complex. The harmonies and lush detail require attention to detail and a trained ear. We’ve got it.

⭐Patti Parker #28 - Decorated On Main⭐
As a nature photographer living in the heart of Muskoka, I'm driven to capture the essence of this special place. My camera becomes an extension of my senses, allowing me to slow down, observe, and appreciate the intricate details of the natural world. From the delicate petals of a wildflower to the majestic grandeur of a moose in its habitat, my photographs are an ode to the beauty and diversity of Muskoka's landscapes. Through my art, I hope to inspire others to explore, appreciate, and protect this precious environment, and to find solace in the serenity of nature.

🎤WHISKEY JACK & SEÁN CULLEN: THE SONGS OF STOMPIN' TOM

Sponsored by 105.5 MooseFM

In music, nothing says Canada quite like Gordon Lightfoot, The Tragically Hip, and Neil Young… unless your name is Stompin’ Tom Connors. And if that name doesn’t bring a smile to your face, you might just have been born on Mars.

This summer, Whiskey Jack, Stompin’ Tom’s longtime band, brings his legendary spirit to the Algonquin Theatre on July 26, 2026. Joined by the wildly talented and award-winning Seán Cullen, this unforgettable afternoon blends music, storytelling, and laugh-out-loud humour in a heartfelt salute to one of Canada’s most iconic patriots.
