🚨 Know Before You Go: Hal-Con 2025 🚨
We’re so excited to welcome Hal-Con Sci-Fi Fantasy Association back to the Halifax Convention Centre! Whether you’re suiting up in cosplay, diving into your favourite fandom, or exploring the panels and exhibits, here’s everything you need to know before you go 👇
1. Entrances & Security
The adventure begins at the Argyle Street entrance! Expect a line, plan ahead, and arrive early to ensure you don’t miss any of the action. Also keep in mind that our security team will be conducting bag checks. Help us speed up the process by having your bags ready for inspection.
2. Respect Each Other’s Privacy
Always ask for permission before taking photos of others, especially if they’re in costume. Personal boundaries are a priority!
3. Respect for Accessibility

4. Drug & Alcohol Policy
No outside alcohol. Absolutely no illegal substances, drugs or alcohol are permitted at the venue.
5. Prop & Weapon Policy
Cosplay weapons and props are allowed, but they must adhere to Hal-Con’s guidelines:
- No real weapons or sharp objects are allowed.
- All props must be non-functional and safely constructed.
- Any prop entering the convention will be subject to admission based on the discretion of the Hal-Con Staff, Halifax Convention Centre, and building security teams.
