Back-to-school, Peggy’s Cove style! 🍎📚

What would a former student need for their first day at The Schoolhouse? An abacus for sums, a slate for writing, an ink pot for lessons, a ruler for measuring, and, of course, an exercise book for all that important schoolwork. ✏️

Step back in time and discover the tools, stories, and history of our one-room schoolhouse in Peggy’s Cove. 🏫✨

Here at The Schoolhouse, you’ll find artifacts that give us a glimpse into what life was like in a one-room schoolhouse in the 1800s, including this classic cup and ball toy, known as a Bilboquet! 🪀

The game is simple: swing the wooden ball and use its momentum to land it right in the cup. Easier said than done!

And the best part? We’ve got one out for visitors to try their hand at. So come on in, give it a go, and see if you’ve got the skills!
