Although we had to temporarily pause the festival due to severe weather, seeing so many of you return afterward filled our hearts with gratitude. Your patience, encouragement, and unwavering support made this year’s festival even more meaningful. Thank you for standing with us.

Japan Festival Sudbury is thrilled to announce an exciting collaboration with Anime North to thank our incredible followers for all of your amazing support!

Anime North is Canada’s largest volunteer-run, not-for-profit anime convention, held annually in Toronto, Ontario. The wait is almost over! In just 2 days, we’ll be celebrating the 6th Japan Festival Sudbury at Bell Park’s Grace Hartman Amphitheatre!

Join us this Saturday, July 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for a full day of Japanese culture, incredible performances, delicious food, unique vendors, hands-on activities, and fun for the whole family.

⏰ Be sure to arrive early! Opening ceremonies begin at 11:00 a.m, and you won’t want to miss our spectacular 11:30 a.m. performance.

Experience a one-of-a-kind collaboration where contemporary dance, Japanese calligraphy, and the powerful rhythms of taiko drums come together in a breathtaking performance that transforms the entire venue into a living stage. Watch as movement, music, and art unite before your eyes, with stunning Japanese calligraphy created live on stage throughout the performance.
