Arctic survivalist. Wilderness guide. Storyteller of the North. Kielyn Marrone, a celebrated finalist of Alone (Season 7), spent 80 days solo in the Arctic and continues to inspire through her off-grid life near Espanola and her work with Lure of the North.

Moderated by Beth Mairs, founder of Wild Women Expeditions, this opening event blends stories, footage, and insight into what it means to truly thrive in nature’s extremes.

Canada is world renowned for vast stunning landscapes like the Rockies and the far Arctic. As any Northern Ontarian knows adventures right outside our door.

Our Canadian Adventures Mixed Programme features three mid-length films instead turn to the nature next door. An endurance ride around the Bay of Fundy, a canoe voyage through the shield in Northern Quebec, and finally a portrait of an Indigenous artist who captured all the beauty in our backyard.
