One special feature of our festival is our exclusive VIP picnic. It is a joy and honour to host this every year and it’s a sparkling, dizzying array of talent showcased on our Canadian shield. In addition to acoustic performances from our festival artists and a lovely picnic with delicious beverages, we always have a special unannounced guest. This year we were honoured to welcome , who made everyone on the island swoon with his charming songs and stories.
To top off our magic and whimsy, this year also featured acclaimed poet , who read from her new book at our picnic and opera house concert. Top tip! Surround yourself with talented, gorgeously imaginative and adventurous friends who will say yes to your crazy schemes and make everything magic. ✨ Huge thanks to our boat captains, Ken & Carol and to for the heavy lifting both physically and metaphorically.

What a night! 🍁Thank you to the great folks at the and to our beautiful audience who gave us the warmest of welcomes and came along for our epic journey of song and camaraderie. 🇨🇦
Congratulations on stunning performances by & who really captured the Great Canadian Songbook. ✨ Our house band was the best of the best - thank you to & .higgins - holding it down and locking it in. Not pictured - all the laughs, riffs, improvs and magic ephemera that makes this small, independent festival sing. Happy 9th year!🎈

Tali Trow () is a force! He has shared stages with countless bands including Bonnie Raitt and Bonnie Dobson and also people not named Bonnie. He is a swiss army knife of a musician - everything you need. He also produced ’s JUNO nominated album, By Appointment or Chance. Although he is from the 🇬🇧, he loves 🇨🇦 and we are lucky to catch him on a rare visit to our country. He will be joining .higgins as our musical cornerstones making all our singers sound dreamy. ✨
