🌿 CALL TO ACTION! 🌿

Do spreadsheets excite you?
Do numbers make you a little giddy?
Then the Gabriola Commons Finance Team might just be your playground!

We’re calling in two dedicated community members to join our Finance Team and help support the Commons in this important behind-the-scenes role.

The team meets twice a month for approximately 2 hours to work together on shared tasks that help keep the Commons running smoothly.

No formal financial background is required, just reliability, care, and a willingness to learn. Experience with basic financial tasks or spreadsheets is definitely an asset, but the work is shared among a supportive team.

Tasks may include:
✨ Paying bills
✨ Responding to emails
✨ Processing incoming payments and donations
✨ Assisting with simple spreadsheets and financial tracking

This is a meaningful way to contribute to the health and sustainability of the Commons while working alongside a great team of volunteers.

🌿 Hey Folks! 🌿

The Gabriola Commons is calling in two new volunteers to join our Finance Team!

Did you know the Commons is run entirely by volunteers? From stewardship teams to trustees, community members help keep this shared land thriving.

The Finance Team meets twice a month and supports important behind-the-scenes tasks such as:
• Receiving and paying bills
• Processing payments and invoices
• Supporting bookkeeping and taxes
• Helping keep the Commons running smoothly

You don’t need to be a financial expert to participate — just community-minded, reliable, and willing to learn. You’ll be joining an existing team and working together in a supportive environment on this very important role.

🌿 March 7th - Workbees Party @ 10-12noon at the commons (includes lunch!)
🌿 March 7th - Apple Grafting Workshop @ 3-5pm Agi-Coop Hall $25

You're invited to join us tonight to hear about what's going on at the commons and how you can be a part of it!

The commons is entirely run by volunteers, all the way up to the trustees!

The commons is stewarded by the people, for the people.

Want to get involved at The Commons?

Every Saturday, folks gather for the Work Bees Party to steward The Commons' land and buildings.

This is a great way to start participating in The Commons and learn more about this incredible community.

Did you know, you can rent the Commons?

The Commons is a community space, run by and for the community!

The commons can host a range of events, from small board meetings to song circles and yoga, as well as multi-day festivals.

Amentetis include;
- Small rooms in the upstairs of the farmhouse (above PHC)
- An industrial community kitchen
- The timberframe
- The Poetry Yurt
- The Reservoir Stage (seasonal)

One can also rent the grounds for events such as fairs, festivals, and performances.
