The 5th Annual Breaking Waves Music Festival takes place in Freeport, Nova Scotia, located at the end of Digby Neck on July 31st, 2021 (Natal Day Weekend ). Yard Sale Vendors will be located along School St. in front of the baseball field entrance. Food Vendors will be located in front of the Freeport Community Greenhouse and will be ready to serve at 11am. Open to the public as well as concert-goers, no ticket purchase necessary. The Washer Tournament begins at 12 (noon) in the ballfield. Space is limited, please contact Wade Sullivan for more information through Facebook Messenger. Tickets are $35.00 and include entry to the concert. The music events will begin at 12 noon with local talent, please contact Caitlyn Gregory through Messenger if you would like to perform. This year's line-up includes Gerry Thurber and the Wilsons, Noelle Lucas and friends, Darren Arsenault, Mark Bezanson, and the Clam Diggers. The main bands will take the stage at 2pm. Due to COVID-19 social distancing guidelines, the field layout will be different than in previous years. All concert-goers are asked to wear a mask and to practice social distancing. Masks are mandatory when going to the washroom and the bar and there is no mixing of pods. The ballfield will be divided into 2 zones, each containing pods for 10 people. Upon entry of the ballfield, you will be advised which zone/pod you are in and will be asked to remain in the zone for the duration of the concert. Each zone has its own bar, washrooms, and hand washing station. Don't forget to bring a chair or blanket.
